This single product can be applied in any emergency situation to safely and easily control hazardous releases. Ampho-Mag™ is a true universal sorbent. It is used to: neutralize acids, neutralize bases, adsorb liquids, control odors and neutralize gases. Responders only need to stock a single product for all hazardous spill needs. Ampho-Mag™ not only reduces spill response time and simplifies spill efforts – but also saves money.
How it Works… Ampho-Mag™ efficiently handles all your spill control needs due to its unique ability to neutralize acids and bases. Ampho-Mag™ contains an innovative multi-range pH indicator that further simplifies spill response. When applied to the spill, Ampho-Mag’s™ color turns to red for acids and blue for bases. As Ampho-Mag™ neutralizes the spill, the color gradually changes to yellow or green. Free liquids in the released materials can easily be controlled and the neutralized material can typically be landfilled. For instance, sulfuric acid is safely rendered to harmless Epson Salt after neutralization. |
