Ampho-Mag Hazardous Spill Sorbent - Use on any hazardous liquid spill
Neutralizes & Adsorbs Acids and Bases
How to use Ampho-Mag

Apply Ampho-Mag to accidental spills using a heavy broadcast method.  It may also be used as a diking material for containment.  Reactions with acids and some aqueous solutions will generate some heat.  Reaction with bases creates little or no heat.  Ampho-Mag is highly effective at containing liquid spills, and preventing them potentially entering the environment.

The amount of Ampho-Mag needed to contain an aqueous spill is about the weight of the spill.  In order to completely neutralize the spill material, the amount of Ampho-Mag required will depend on the concentration of the spilled substance.   For instance, 1 gallon of 94% Sulfuric acid needs only 14 pounds of Ampho-Mag for complete neutralization.  Only 6 pounds of Ampho-Mag is necessary to neutralize 1 gallon of 70% Nitric acid.  Alkali spills generally require less reagent than for acids. Usually the amount required to contain an alkaline spill is sufficient to neutralize it.
